Deep Groove Ball Bearing Is A More Common Type Of Rolling Bearing

Dec 12, 2022

Deep groove ball bearings is a more common type of rolling bearings. And deep groove ball bearings consist of an outer ring, an inner ring, a set of steel balls and a set of cages.

Deep groove ball bearings are mainly used to bear pure radial loads, and can also bear radial loads and axial loads at the same time. When it is only subjected to pure radial load, the contact angle is zero. When the deep groove ball bearing has a large radial clearance, it has the performance of an angular contact bearing and can bear a large axial load. The friction coefficient of deep groove ball bearings is very small, and the limit speed is also high. Especially in high-speed operation conditions with large axial load, deep groove ball bearings are more advantageous than thrust ball bearings.

Compared with other types, deep groove ball bearing has a simple structure and is easy to achieve higher manufacturing accuracy, so it is convenient for mass production, the producing cost is also low, and it is extremely common. In addition to the basic type, deep groove ball bearings also have various modified structures, such as: deep groove ball bearings with dust cover; deep groove ball bearings with rubber seals; deep groove ball bearings with retaining grooves; Deep groove ball bearings with large load capacity with ball notches; double row deep groove ball bearings.

1. Deep groove ball bearing with dust cover

The standard deep groove ball bearings with dust cover are Z type and 2Z type. The one with dust cover on one side is Z type, and the one with dust cover on both sides is 2Z type.

Bearings with dust caps are used under conditions where separate lubrication is difficult, and it is inconvenient to install lubricating oil paths and to check. The amount of grease injected into each set of bearings is usually 1/4~1/3 of the effective space in the bearing, and the amount of grease can also be increased or decreased according to user requirements. The injected grease can usually ensure that the bearing operates under the working condition of -40~+120℃. If the user has higher requirements for the bearing, other properties and grades of grease can also be filled according to the situation. Bearings with dust cover can work effectively for a long time after being greased, and do not need to add grease during use.

2. Deep groove ball bearing with seals

Standard deep groove ball bearings with seals include contact sealed bearings RS type (sealed on one side), 2RS type (sealed on both sides) and non-contact sealed bearings RZ type (sealed on one side), 2RZ type (sealed on both sides).

The performance, grease and use of bearings with seals are basically the same as those with shields. The difference is that there is a large gap between the dust cover and the inner ring of the bearing with dust cover, while the gap between the sealing lip and the inner ring of the non-contact sealing ring bearing is very small, and the sealing lip of the contact sealing ring bearing and the inner ring are very small. There is no gap between the inner rings, the sealing effect is good, but the friction is increased.

Where low noise is required, the smaller size deep groove ball bearings of the 60 and 62 series are mostly used. Regardless of the open bearing, the bearing with a dust cover or the bearing with a sealing ring, the requirements of low noise and low vibration can be put forward when ordering. In my country's JB (machinery industry standard), the allowable vibration values of the low, medium and high frequency bands of V1, V2, and V3 are specified.0

3. Deep groove ball bearings with snap grooves and snap rings

Standard deep groove ball bearings with snap grooves, the rear code is N, the bearings with snap grooves and snap rings are rear code NR, in addition to ZN, ZNR and other structural variants.

Bearings with snap grooves and snap rings have the function of deep groove ball bearings to withstand radial loads, and snap rings can limit the axial displacement of the bearing, simplify the axial structure of the bearing seat and reduce the axial size.

Bearings with snap grooves and snap rings are mostly used in working parts with small axial loads such as automobiles and tractors.

4. Deep groove ball bearings with ball gaps

Standard deep groove ball bearings with ball notches are available in 200 and 300 diameter series. This kind of bearing has gaps on the inner and outer rings on one side of the bearing, and more balls can be loaded through this port, so that the radial bearing capacity of the bearing is larger than that of the standard deep groove ball bearing. However, the axial bearing capacity is small and cannot run at high speed. If there is a large axial load, it generally needs to be used in conjunction with a set of ordinary deep groove ball bearings.

Deep groove ball bearings with ball-loading notches are available in various construction variants. The structural variant with dust cover has the same advantages as the basic type of dust cover bearing, and the bearing can be used for a long time after one injection of lithium base grease. Structural variants with snap grooves and snap rings are often used in automobile gearboxes, which can limit the axial displacement of the bearing in a limited space, and can use smaller bearings under the condition of small axial load. Bear large radial loads.
