Bearing Tolerances and Precision Levels

Precision bearings are classified according to ISO grading standards as P0, P6, P5, P4, P2. P0 represents ordinary precision

P0 level is the ordinary accuracy, with the largest dimensional deviation and the lowest rotational accuracy; P6, P5, and P4 levels are high-precision, corresponding to different precision requirements; P2 level is ultra-high precision, with the smallest dimensional deviation and the highest rotational accuracy.

The application scenarios of bearings with different precision levels are different:

P0 level: ordinary precision, suitable for general machinery such as textile machinery, mining machinery, food processing, etc.

P6 level: High precision, suitable for precision bearing systems with a precision of 5-10 μ m, such as the front support of ordinary lathes.

P5 level: High precision, suitable for precision bearing systems with a precision of 5-10 μ m, such as the rear support of ordinary lathes.

P4 level: High precision, suitable for ultra precision machinery with a precision of less than 5 μ m, such as precision coordinate boring machines, gear systems of precision grinders, etc.

P2 level: supper-high precision, suitable for ultra precision machinery with a precision of less than 5 μ m, such as precision machinery.
