Why are ceramic bearings so expensive?

Also ceramic bearings have more advantage than the normal bearings:
(1) High speed bearings: With advantages such as cold resistance, low stress elasticity, high pressure resistance, poor thermal conductivity, light weight, and low friction coefficient, ceramic bearings can be used in high-speed spindles and other high-precision equipment with speeds ranging from 12000 rpm to 75000 rpm;

(2) High temperature resistant bearings: The material itself has a high temperature resistance of 1200 ℃ and good self-lubricating. It does not cause expansion due to temperature differences when used at temperatures between 100 ℃ and 800 ℃. Can be applied in high-temperature equipment such as furnaces, plastics, and steel making;
(3) Corrosion resistant bearings: The material itself has the characteristic of corrosion resistance and can be applied in fields such as strong acid, strong alkali, inorganic, organic salt, seawater, etc., such as electroplating equipment, electronic equipment, chemical machinery, shipbuilding, medical equipment, etc.
(4) Anti magnetic bearings: Due to their lack of magnetism, they do not absorb dust and can reduce bearing surface peeling, thereby reducing operating noise. Can be used on demagnetization devices. Precision instruments and other fields.
(5) Electric insulated bearings: Due to their high electrical resistivity, they can avoid arc damage to the bearings and can be used in various power equipment that requires insulation.
(6) Vacuum bearings: Due to the unique oil-free self-lubricating properties of ceramic materials, they can overcome the difficulty of lubrication that ordinary bearings cannot achieve in ultra-high vacuum environments.
